IVM Automotive has around 1000 employees at seven locations in Germany and two locations in Spain and Brazil. Since April 2007 we are part of the Swedish company Semcon AB. With 3700 employees in 15 countries on five continents and annual sales of 350 Mio. € (pro forma 2007) we are one of the leading engineering partners of the automotive industry.
On a project basis we make our vehicle design expertise available to carmakers and tier 1 suppliers and take responsibility for developing modules and complete vehicles – a market of growing importance in view of the increasing variety of models and variants and the ever shorter product life cycles and development times. We have particularly extensive know-how in Complete Vehicle Development, in Design, in Vehicle Body and Interior, in Calculation and Simulation, in Sample and Prototype Manufacturing, in Testing, in Engine/Drivetrain/Chassis as well as in Electrics and Electronics.
Our strategic focus lies on six core themes, all niches in which demand is evident and in which we can offer our customers great value added:
- complete vehicle development for convertibles and other niche vehicles;
- door and flap systems;
- front end including pedestrian protection;
- greenhouse including passenger protection;
- lightweight construction and
- system and module integration.
